The days right after the Super Bowl are the symbolic end of most people’s New Year’s Resolutions. Crowds at the gym start to thin out and people revert back to their old bad habits. Here are some easy ways to stay on track.
- Stay focused on a long term goal – not lose 10 pounds but play with my kids, sleep better, stay hot so my spouse doesn’t leave me.
- Break your long term goal into short term goals to stay accountable
- Find a support system – as insurance to protect yourself from your lack of discipline
- Plan an event calendar for the rest of the year. If you know that every season you have a race or walk you are taking part in then you have to train and you have to do the event.
