Thursday, March 4th, 2010 12:10 pm

In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explain how some dangerous foods can kill you. No one likes to eat more than the Fat Guy and even he won’t eat any food where their is a chance he could die. But in Japan there are a lot of people who enjoy Fugu a poisonous blowfish that if prepared incorrectly can kill you.  Now I have been in a few restaurant kitchens and I don’t think I’m trusting the Bobby Flay of Japan with my life. We talk about other dangerous foods like hot dogs because they kill a lot of kids. Do you think the government should force hot dog companies to change the shape of their product to prevent kids from choking?  Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips. Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 7:07 am

On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on our good friend Robert Davis, fitness journalist and author of The Healthy Skeptic. His health journalism background make him the perfect person to ask and answer these questions. His book The Healthy Skeptic: Cutting Through The Hype About Your Health is a must read if you get overwhelmed with information about heath, fitness, wellness and don’t know who is telling the truth. You can trust Robert. Regarding organic foods the questions you have to ask (and Robert answers in this interview) are: Are microscopic amounts of pesticides on fruits and vegetables bad for you in the first place?
